The Opera Locos - In The Opera Locos («The Opera of Crazies”), a comic opera show from the Spanish theater company Yllana and theatre producer Rami Eldar, five eccentric opera singers perform some of the greatest opera arias. Classical arias from George Bizet’s Carmen, W. A. Mozart’s The Magic Flute, and Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto are combined with classics from the pop and rock repertoire. During the performance, the five characters reveal their hidden passions, personalities, and desires, leading to unpredictable, hilarious situations that audiences of all ages will appreciate. The soloists are Florian Laconi (tenor), Margaux Toqué (mezzo soprano), Michaël Koné (countertenor), Laurent Arcaro (baritone), and Diane Fourès (soprano). He has appeared at the jazz festivals of Córsega and Uzeste and opened for the one and only Nina Simone in Cannes. Atys en Folie - Atys en folie is a parody of Jean-Baptiste Lully’s lyrical tragedy Atys (1676). Atys, Lully’s most famous opera, was a constant subject of parody throughout the 18th century. Stage director Jean-Philippe Desrousseaux drew on several parodies to create this original production for singers, puppets, and musicians to revive the work. Princes, princesses, and kings are relegated to peasants, market gardeners, and fishmongers in the countryside. Among the performers are Alain Buet, Marie Lenormand, and Arnaud Marzorati. Gaëlle Trimardeau, Bruno Coulon and Jean-Philippe Desrousseaux feature as puppeteers. The music is performed by ensemble La Clique des Lunaisiens, conducted by Arnaud Marzorati. This performance was recorded at Teatru Manoel in Valletta, Malta, in 2017

City Beats - Episode 5 - Amsterdam - DJ-producer Carly Foxx is on a musical journey, immersing herself in the life of five iconic European cities to find inspiration for a series of new tracks. In this episode, Carly Foxx travels to Amsterdam to influence her music track and discovers it is a lot more experimental than she imagined. After exploring the streets of Amsterdam and interviewing passersby, Carly meets up with Steim director Dick Rijken. He and his students design electronic instruments that encourage experimentation. She records various instruments and adds them to her track. Then, in the central library, Carly finds a young pianist who plays his compositions for her to record. After that, Carly travels to the North of Amsterdam to meet with DJ David Leese, who introduces her to the Amsterdam clubbing scene. Together they visit the Genetic Choir. Back in London, Carly Foxx puts together her music track and presents it in the club

CLASSICAL:Next 2019 - Rui Massena - A life-long pioneer and defender of classical music, a maestro and pianist by training, Rui Massena has performed in 14 countries with 30 orchestras, has conducted for José Carreras, Ute Lemper and Wim Mertens and was the main guest conductor of the Rome Symphony Orchestra for three seasons. He has also received several distinctions, both as maestro and as a TV personality. With his first album, Solo, in 2015, recorded entirely on solo piano, his remarkable talent as a melodist was revealed to the world. In 2016, he released ’Ensemble’, partly recorded with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. The record shot to #1 in the Portuguese charts. The new album III was recorded in two stages: in Berlin all the piano parts were recorded with the Grammy-winning producer and engineer Tobias Lehman; in Oporto they were recorded with his stage band. The record was mastered in New York by Grammy-winning engineer Joe Laporta and released in Portugal by Universal on the Deutsche Grammophon label in November 2018. A tour is already planned for 2019 coinciding with the international release of III. Lee Ranaldo - After being one of the pillars of Sonic Youth, Lee Ranaldo released the solo album Electric Trim. To top it off, Lee Ranaldo collaborated with New York author Jonathan Lethem for the lyrics of most of the album’s songs.
